About our stallion....
We currently stand "Smart Peppy Macolena" a 1996 sorrel stallion by Smart Peppy Lena(AQHA)- NCHA and NRHA money earner, and a full brother to Smart Little Lena. "Mac" is out of an own daughter of Royal Whiskey. He stands 15.1 hands and weighs about 1250#. He's got good bone, a huge motor and what a stopper! He'll bury his hind end in the dirt. His offspring have all shown to be natural big stoppers. Mac has been used on our ranch and several neighbor ranches to work and cut out cattle. He heads and heels in the roping arena, and is well patterned on barrels. He was shown in halter to season as a 2 yr. old in open shows and was Gr. Champion stallion every out. A minor stall injury put him on hold for any cutting futurity training during his late 2 yr. old thru mid 3 yr. old year. As a late 3 yr.old and coming back 100% sound, Mac was legged back up and at age 4, was started on cutting and roping for ranch use. He also live covered his first season of mares that year. By age 5, Mac was being hauled and competing in open ropings, both heading and heeling, when time off from the ranch allowed. Mac has a gentle, patient and quiet disposition and passes it on to his offspring. They are very easy to break, they're quiet yet athletic, and able to go in any direction. Some of his oldest offspring that we've raised and sold are already in the arena competing and earning money, and some have made great ranch horses, even competing at open ranch rodeos. He is a wonderful cross for those hot running bred mares that need some cooling down. They have the gas to get there and the brains to learn and remember easily.
